My daughter and I have been working with Liz for the past 6 years. Meeting her was pure serendipity! My daughter was about to head off for her first year in college, so she got her hair cut at a salon that frankly, butchered her! So, not wanting her to go off to college looking the way she did, I called the salon where Liz used to work, saying that I needed an emergency appointment with anyone, anyone at all, as this was a crisis! Luckily for us, as I know in retrospect, Liz was free at that exact time due to a cancellation, so the salon told us to come right in – and that’s when we met Liz and our story began! Liz took the mess that was my daughter’s hair cut and transformed it into something really beautiful. Not only did we recognize her skill, but Liz’s personality really shone through – she is a kind and very compassionate person. My daughter has a mobility challenge and Liz simply could not have been nicer or more sensitive. Seeing what a great job Liz did on my daughter, I thought, wow, I am going to switch to Liz from my former salon, and I’m so glad I did! Not only is she a great stylist, but her skills with hair color are amazing; when she goes off behind the curtain to mix the agents for my foil, I think of her as a mad scientist, mixing the exact potion that is perfect! She also does a low light, or is it a high light???, and also sometimes a rinse, depending upon where we need to be with my color at the time. So, in short, Liz is super talented with color and styling, but she is also a great person – kind, warm and fun!

This was my first time going to J&L Hair studio. Jessica did a great job with my hair cut, I love it. She listened to what I wanted and spent the time to make sure I was happy with it. The salon itself was very cute and clean. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. I called earlier that day for an appointment and they were able to take me that day, which was awesome! I will definetly return next time I need my hair done. Overall I was very happy with the salon experience.

I just got a hair cut and hair dye from Cassie, and I love it. She’s offered tea and magazines, and she was very attentive the whole time. She was honest that I might not get the color that I wanted due to my dark hair color, but it came out very close to it. I definitely will go back for the next hair cut. Thanks, Cassie!

I went to J&L for the first time used a groupon and had a color and cut and deep conditioning with Jessica and she did a great job. I have very thick course hair and she knew exactly how the to cut and texturize my hair without short layers. I would definatley go back.

It was great experience. Liz is very professional and attentive, and she went extra mile knowing my situation. She came to work an hour earlier to make a styling for my special day.
